Love, sunshine and an old horse trailer
Behind La Concha Blanca are two people who built their new beginning under the Spanish sun with a great deal of heart.
We are a German couple who moved their life to Spain, to Els Poblets on the Costa Blanca to be precise. Our Instagram name liebe.und.sonne, love and sunshine, says it all: we wanted to live closer to what makes us happy.
Many hours of handiwork turned a retired horse trailer into our mobile soft serve bar: painted cream white, panelled in wood, with flower boxes, stools and one bar stool with a genuine saddle as a wink to the trailer's past. The cart carries the name La Concha Blanca, the white shell, for its curved white shape and our love of the sea.
In May 2026 we catered our first private event at a finca near Pedreguer. Since then we have stood at weekly markets, village fiestas and summer markets across the Marina Alta, from the community fiesta in Els Poblets to the Secret Garden in Gata de Gorgos.
Being more than a stand that sells ice cream matters to us. We take time for conversations, get to know our neighbourhood and donate part of the proceeds of selected events to social projects. That the town of Els Poblets has already invited us to its community fiesta makes us a little proud.
